Soror explores the lives and relationships of two half-sisters; Grace, insular and shy but a talented dancer; and Lisa, who dreams of escaping the confines of their upbringing. The close relationship shared by the sisters is the most important part of their lives; the only thing that truly means anything. Starring Rosie Day (The Seasoning House, Outlander), Sian Breckin (Tyrannosaur, Starred Up), James Alexandrou (Eastenders, Silent Witness) and double BAFTA winner Kate Dickie (Red Road, Filth, Prometheus, Game of Thrones), Soror is a poignant drama about relationships and personal goals.
The film had its festival premiere at London Short Film Festival and received numerous international festival screenings, picking up a number of awards along the way. Soror has been recently signed to Short International and will screen on Shorts TV in the US. Curated short film website Findie will be releasing the film online in the summer of 2018.
Soror was a co-production between The Springhead Film Company & Jokers Pack in association with Zealous, Findie, Palladio and Mini Productions.
